The Atlanta RIMS and CPCU Chapters work cooperatively with representatives from the University of Georgia, Georgia State University, Mercer University, Troy University, and Appalachian State University to create a dynamic student mentor program. Its stated purpose is to prepare risk management students to become future business leaders by linking them with senior risk management and insurance mentors who have taken that path and are committed to sharing with the next generation.
Students from the University of Georgia, Georgia State University, Mercer University, Troy University, and Appalachian State University are matched with Risk Management and Insurance professionals within the Atlanta area and beyond. The time commitment to be a mentor is only 1-2 hours per month until February 2023. Mentor communication can be done virtually or in person.
Atlanta RIMS Chapter wants to reach as many mentees as possible; if you cannot participate this year but you can recommend someone in the industry who you feel would be a great mentor, your recommendation is greatly appreciated.
If you enjoy discussing your profession and would like to pass on some of your knowledge to a risk management student, please use link below to register. Please email Emily Aho at email@example.com for any questions.
The deadline to register is Friday, September 30th
