Andrew Merdinger is a Senior Vice President within Lockton’s specialized Property Practice specializing in the design, coordination, and implementation of insurance solutions for complex property risks. He predominately focuses on business within the large-risk space. He graduated from the University of Georgia with degrees in both Risk Management and International Affairs and minor in Chinese language. Throughout his 15-year career, Andrew has developed a deep expertise navigating the risk and insurance landscape on behalf of his clients.
In additional to core broking responsibilities, Andrew serves on the Lockton Property Risk Analytics steering committee where he helps drive best practices related to engagement and utilization of catastrophic risk models within the broking environment. In 2015, he completed an overseas secondment in the Bermudian insurance market, further enhancing his perspective on global insurance matters.
He is based in Atlanta, Georgia.
Edward Leibrock is the Head of U.S. Corporate Property Munich Re. Since 2009, Ed has been the Head of U.S. Corporate Property for Munich Re Facultative & Corporate North America with group being responsible for the underwriting of large corporate property risks domiciled in the U.S. Prior to joining Munich Re, Ed held a number of property underwriting and management positions at several companies, including Zurich, Chubb, Travelers and FM Global. He has extensive experience in global property risks and several high challenge occupancies.
Matt Stroud is a Zonal Manager for Retail Property in the southeast at AIG. In this role, he leads a team of 8 underwriters in Atlanta and Florida servicing our retail brokers and clients for all their property needs. Prior to AIG, Matt spent time as both a broker and underwriter in large property. He was part of the National Property team at Liberty Mutual, Southeast Property Practice for Lockton, and in various roles with Zurich in both Atlanta and Charlotte. Matt received a Finance/Risk Management degree and later an MBA from the University of South Carolina, while minoring in German – Guten Tag! Matt is also active in the RIMS and CPCU communities in Atlanta and spends any free time watching his boys play baseball while trying to keep his daughter from spending all his retirement money at the concession stand!
